Baby Shower
WOW!!! I truly found it amazing how much I loved our little one when we first found out we were expecting... and that love has only continued to grow. But I never truly understood how much everyone else loves our little one until this last weekend, when it hit me like a ton of bricks! We had our baby shower this last weekend, and I saw friends of mine I haven't seen in over a year, I got to spend more time with loved ones and friends I see on a daily basis, and I now hold a greater understanding of what it is to love unconditionally. My Aunt came in from Dallas, some really good family friends of ours came in from San Antonio and the simple fact that people took out of their BEAUTIFUL Saturday afternoon to spend time honoring our child was beyond words. Thank you so much for all the love we were showered with on Saturday. I'll try to get some pics posted of the awesome stuff we got from the shower. I know it made it hard to buy stuff for the baby not knowing what we're having, but everything was just PERFECT!!!

Baby Fever
Sorry it's been so long that I've actually been on here... Don't really know how many are out there that stop by, cause I'm not really so sure who all knows that I have a blogspot, but today I would like to talk about "the baby."
I don't think that I've even made a post on here about the baby unless the last one I did manage to get in (November) talked about the baby. Sorry that I keep referring to "it" as "the baby," but Aaron and I have decided not to find out what we're having. My mom actually likes to call the baby "Goober," so if I happen to mention Goober, that's where it's coming from. Things have really been pretty good lately in terms of the pregnancy. Every day is one day closer to getting to see our precious little one. People think we're crazy because we're not finding out what we're having, but I think it's just more enjoyable: 1) they aren't as spoiled as when you know what you're going to have (at least for the 10 months of pregnancy, Mom has already told me just as soon as she finds out what we're having that she plans on going and buying whatever is needed gender wise for the baby) 2) the SURPRISE at the end of the actual 10 months will be absolutely AMAZING (there aren't very many real surprises left in this world) 3) Aaron will be the first one to let the majority of our friends and family know what our little bundle of joy is (this makes me really excited because he doesn't get to have the experiences that I have right now, feeling the baby kick, roll, punch, hiccup, etc...)
The last time we got to see our little one was back in January. Goober weighed in at a whopping 1 pound 5 ounces... what's even more surprising is that I had only gained one pound... LOL. When you put those two figures together, there's an extra 5 ounces that came from somewhere???? Our next US appointment is coming up this March 17th, the day after Aaron's birthday. He didn't get to go to the first US appointment, so this will be one of the best birthday present anyone could ever give him... and then to top it all off, the same weekend of our US, our other little man gets to come see us in Texas. Aaron's little boy, Chad, whose 7 (will be 8 April 16th), will be here for the last half of his Spring Break Vacation. I couldn't ask for a more awesome week/weekend. We just simply put have so many things to look forward to right now.
The nursery is slowly coming together. Super Bowl Sunday, we had some friends and family over to watch the game. Well some of us watched the game, while others decided to paint the baby room (don't worry I wasn't allowed in the baby's room when the paint was being applied to the walls). My lovely Mom and wonderful Dad are just truly AMAZING and FANTASTIC and well the words could just keep coming, but we'll stop there or I'll never get ahold of myself again in describing how much my parents mean to me. Anyways... they came over to watch the game, Mom did the majority of the painting in the nursery (green on the bottom, cream on the top, and a chair/border railing in the middle) while Dad came in after the game was over and helped with the touch ups. Then last weekend I guess it was, we finally got some of the baby furniture moved. Patti (my long time best friend, we've known each other since we were 5 and 6 years old) was in need of getting rid of a beautiful dresser/hutch combo that they had in their son's room... So, I told her I would love to have it... needless to say, it has a fresh paint on it, and I'm hoping that this weekend we will be able to go ahead and move it into the baby's room as well. The baby bed is in smack dab in the middle of the nursery and (I'll try to get a picture on here soon) let's just say I LOVE IT!!! Mom actually found it at a storage building sale and it's just AWESOME... not your traditional baby bed, by any means. The changing table was picked up in Amarillo at the Once Upon a Child store up there and surprisingly it matches almost perfectly with the baby bed we bought over 2 years ago (it too is in the middle of the baby room).
So to sum it all up for now, the nursery is slowly coming together... we do have the furniture in the room (the middle of the room to be precise), the walls are all painted and just looking for a little more attention, the shelving unit has been put together and resides in the closet, and now I'm just looking forward to getting things moving again in regards to starting to finish up the room...
Oh and just as a little side note, I'm pretty sure the baby has the hiccups right now, actually throughout the whole time I've been blogging, because my belly has yet to stop moving since I started typing... Ok, well I'm going to head home now, but I promise I'll try to get on more often with updates...

Great Song
So, I was driving home yesterday from work (actually on my way to Wal-Mart to get gas, and then home) when I heard this song... Apparently Trent Willmon sings it too, but when I heard it on the radio it was Lee Ann Womack... Let's just say I cried, the pure innocence of this song is AMAZING!!! I found myself in tears before the part of the song about finding the heartbeat on your baby's ultrasound... but after that I was a goner... good thing I was almost to Wal-Mart, so I wasn't driving while crying... I know I'm an emotional basket right now, but it's a very touching song, so I thought I would share the lyrics with y'all here...
Try and put your arms around
The 100 year old tree
Climb up on a horse
And let it run full speed
Take a look out at the world from 30,000 feet
On your next flight
Watch a flock of birds
Against the morning sun
Close your eyes and listen
To the river run
Catch a firefly in your hand
Or a raindrop on your tongue
That's right
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?
Plant a seed and see
What comes out of the ground
Find the heartbeat on your baby's ultrasound
In a few years hear it laughing,
And don't it sound like a song?
Stop and think about
What you don't understand
Things like life and love
And how the world began
Hear the doctor say he can't explain it,
But the cancer is gone
There is a God
There is a God
There is a God
How much proof do you need?
Science says it's all just circumstance
That this whole world is just an accident
But if you want to shoot that theory down,
Just take a look around
Oh just look around
Now there is a God
There is a God
Oh there is a God,
How much proof do you need?
Now, There is a God.
AMAZING isn't it...

Great News!!!
Well, I haven't been online in a little while, but I wanted to update everyone... Patti and Justin welcomed their baby girl Presli on Wednesday the 21st. She is an adorable, thriving little girl that already has her daddy wrapped around her little finger. Another big announcement came later last week when Rebecca and Travis welcomed their baby girl as well. Although unexpected, things are going very well for Miss Ava and the Gonzales family. And, yet another baby graced us with his prescence too... My little nephew joined us on Tuesday the 27th, and I must say he is a stunning little man. I'm hoping to get the chance to capture precious memories of Preslie and Westin in the very near future... so hopefully you'll come back to a great post with new babies all over the blog... Happy Halloween!!!!

Pardo Photo Shoot
Like mother, like daughter, these two have so much energy that it's just unreal. Becky was a bridesmaid in mine and Aaron's wedding, and her daughter Brianna was our co-flower girl along with my niece Laiken. Becky has been on my hiney for months to get their family pictures done, and I'm so excited that we finally had the time to get together and get these taken. Although it was a cold afternoon, we made the best of it... We laughed at the possibility of taking Brianna's Senior pictures (oh in 8 years), but hey, that's job security right... Thanks girls for having such good spirits, even though the weather (wind and cold air) didn't make it easy...

This is yet another really good friend of mine and her husband. They are expecting their first baby and I'm so excited for them. Rebecca and Travis are so in love, and these pictures prove every ounce of the love that they have for one another. I had a great time visiting with her in Las Cruces, NM. Baby A will be here (more than likely) at the end of November, although her due date isn't until December. Thanks again for the great laughs and I can't wait to take more of y'alls ever growing family in the months and years to come.

Graham Photo Shoot
So I actually took these pictures over a month ago, but I've just really started getting on my feet with everything... actually that's not so true, I'm really not so sure what I'm really doing yet. Man they should really make a self help website for setting up a blog and how to start your very own, first website to help you with running a business. Anyway... This little post is of my best friend, Patti, and her family. Justin, her wonderful husband, Bryson, her fun-loving 4 year old little boy, and Miss P, beautiful baby girl waiting her arrival. Patti is actually due next Wednesday, so I'm really looking forward to taking some more pictures of their family once Miss P makes her appearance.
